Still no pictures??? I know I am getting really really lazy. The first week I woke up at 6:20 and then I woke up at 6:40 on the second week, now I wake up at 7:00-- Life is hard if I have to wake up that early.

Today was the FIRST day that I actually did some data segmentations. I was really excited about it especially when I saw it ran correctly. I went downtown to the theater and saw the ballet; it was very nice and fun, but during the show I heard couple people coughing and I was a bit worried about SARS since three people have got infected in this town.

I found this cute picture on Chinese Yahoo; one Taiwanese girl was worried about her cat and therefore she got a mask for it. I bet the cat hates it very much.

I have been lazy for nearly a whole week!

I had a hard time to wake up this morning because of daylight savings; I usually wake up at 6:45 but because we had to adjust clock one hour early, it actually was 5:45am when I had to get out of bed.

I finally got all the access to all the database applications and will have a short meeting with my boss for starting a project. It was taking me three week long to get everything I need. Before leaving the my office, I also got an email from IS department notifying me that they will be upgrading my computer hopefully by the end of the week. Things are getting better and better.

After dinner tonight, we went to a movie The Pianist . When I saw the invasion of Poland and the destruction of Warsaw, I couldn't help but think of the invasion of Baghdad by that Stupid Monkey. I still believe that there must be a better way to solve problems besides going to war and killing people. The adminstration and its business friends are too eager to get the profit from rebuilding what they destroyed. And there are even more things to fix in the U.S., not just getting oil.

I was really happy after getting an email from my boss confirming that someone is gonna move all my stuff into my own cubicle, and also I had two accounts set up to access those database applications this afternoon. Hopefully, I will really get busy on those database soon.

My photographer has had an apple martini with his dinner then had another two whatever they were drinks after his friend stopped by. It was so funny that both of them were soooo drunk. His friend now is sleeping in the living room after throwing up nonstop. I video taped them and I guess they will be laughing very very hard after watching it tomorrow.

I know I did not put anything on since Thursday. Well, my "photographer" had to be an extra in someone's film, and he had to leave before I got ready.
Friday is a casual day or I should say it is a bule-jeans-day--everyone wears them. I spent the whole day to normalize the current database we use for the marketing dapartment--it was easy but very tiring. I had to have a nap as soon as I got home.

My hair is getting longer and longer but I don't know where I can find a good hair disigner. I usually get my haircut done when I go back to Taiwan. My sister, Amy is a famous hair desinger in Taipei and yes, I usually ask her to do it every year when I go back. I really wish she was here.

Surely, summer is coming; it was nice and warm today. The basket of oranges are the ones I make juice from every morning. The dress I had for today was from my sister, Berry; she always has lots of cute stuff.

I am sitting here and thinking very very hard to put something about work here, but I believe my brain cells die a lot when I try to find tables and run the queries at work and they have not yet recovered. All I can think about is having a nap. I will see if I can have a short one, otherwise, I will come back here tomorrow.

It is nice and green outside my apartment. I always enjoy watching it when the nice weather comes.

I was really busy on the new database system we just bought last month. Lots of documentation to read! I will be given the account to access the new application and old database systems soon. It is not that hard but it is just the matter of spending time to understand the structure of those data models.

I am still sharing the cubicle with another person; hopefully, my own one will be ready and waiting for me when I go to work tomorrow.

Sorry, there are no pictures today because my "photographer" was out of town until this afternoon.

It was a bit busy at work, especailly after having a meeting with my manager, I was assigned some project. It looks like I will be having a busy following week.
